Serving God and Serving Others
The ministry of Redeemed Gospel Church Subukia extends beyond the main Sunday services. The church serves its congregation and surrounding community through worship, fellowship, Bible teaching, evangelism, outreach, Home Bible Churches, youth ministry, Sunday School, school ministry, digital ministry, new believer training and church planting.
These ministries provide different ways for people to participate in the life of the church, grow in faith, fellowship with others and contribute to the work of the church in Subukia and surrounding areas.
Areas of Ministry
Redeemed Men's Fellowship
The Redeemed Men's Fellowship provides opportunities for men to fellowship, grow in faith, encourage one another and take part in the life and service of the church.
Women of Excellence
Women of Excellence is the women's ministry of Redeemed Gospel Church Subukia. The ministry provides opportunities for women to gather, grow in faith, fellowship and encourage one another through the life of the church.
Praise & Worship
The Praise & Worship Ministry helps lead the congregation in worship through music and praise. It provides an opportunity for members to use their gifts in worship and help the church focus on God during worship gatherings.
Redeemed Voices Choir
The Redeemed Voices Choir supports the worship life of the church through choral singing and musical ministry. Choir members use their voices and musical gifts to lead, encourage and participate in congregational worship.
Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry provides fellowship and a place for young people to participate in church life, grow in faith and serve within the church community.
At RGC Subukia, the youth ministry includes two groups: Teens and Overcomers.
Overcomers
Overcomers is the group for young people who have transitioned from the Teens fellowship after completing high school.
The group meets for an online fellowship every Tuesday at 9:00 PM, and everyone is welcome to join.
Members transition out of the Overcomers group when they get married.
Teens
The Teens fellowship is for young people who are currently in high school. The group meets every Sunday morning at 8:00 AM in the Youth Lounge at Redeemed Gospel Church Subukia.
After completing high school, members transition out of the Teens group following a dedication by Rev. Shadrack Muiruri Kamau.
Sunday School Ministry
The Sunday School Ministry provides age-appropriate Bible teaching and Christian instruction for children and young people. It creates a setting where they can learn God's Word, develop their faith and grow in their understanding of Christian values.
At RGC Subukia, the Sunday School Ministry is divided into two groups: Junior Sunday School and Senior Sunday School.
Junior Sunday School
The Junior Sunday School provides Bible teaching, Christian instruction and fellowship for younger children. The ministry helps children begin learning about God's Word and develop a foundation of faith in an age-appropriate setting.
Senior Sunday School
The Senior Sunday School provides Bible teaching, Christian instruction and fellowship for older children and young people. The ministry helps them grow in their understanding of God's Word and apply Christian teaching to their lives.
Home Bible Churches
RGC Subukia has nine Home Bible Churches (HBCs) serving Subukia town and surrounding areas. These smaller fellowship settings provide opportunities for Bible teaching, prayer, fellowship and local ministry.
Community Outreach
Driven by a spirit of charity, the church reaches beyond its regular worship gatherings through community outreach and practical care for people and families within the surrounding community.
Protocol & Hospitality
The Protocol & Hospitality Ministry helps create a welcoming and orderly environment for worship services, church gatherings and special events at Redeemed Gospel Church Subukia.
The ministry assists in welcoming and guiding guests, supporting church gatherings and helping people feel received and connected within the church community.
School Ministry
RGC Subukia's school ministry provides opportunities for the church to share God's Word and offer spiritual encouragement within school settings around the local community.
Digital Ministry
The Digital Ministry uses digital platforms and communication channels to extend the church's ministry beyond the physical church setting. It supports the sharing of church messages, information, worship and other ministry activities with people through digital media.
Evangelism & Crusades
Evangelism is an important part of the ministry of Redeemed Gospel Church Subukia. Multiple times throughout the year, the church goes into Subukia and surrounding areas to share God's Word, reaching people with the Gospel as part of the wider vision of a world won for Christ.
The church uses the expression A City of Refuge in connection with its evangelistic and crusade ministry.
New Believers Program
The New Believers Program supports people who have come to faith in Christ by providing teaching and training in the foundations of the Christian faith.
RGC Subukia takes up new believers in Subukia, Nakuru and guides them through the New Believers Course as they grow in their understanding of God's Word and the Christian faith.
The program culminates in a graduation led by Rev. Shadrack Muiruri Kamau. Participants who successfully complete the course receive a New Believers Certificate.
The certificate recognizes that the participant has successfully completed the New Believers Course and has been grounded in the foundations of the Christian faith.
Church Planting
RGC Subukia has been involved in church planting beyond its central congregation, including the planting of RGC Shamanei and RGC Munanda.
A Life Transformation Centre
The Life Transformation Centre is an expression used by RGC Subukia in connection with its in-house worship and ministry gatherings, where the congregation comes together for worship, prayer, fellowship and the teaching of God's Word.
Youth Fellowship at RGC Subukia
The youth ministry at Redeemed Gospel Church Subukia includes two connected groups: Teens and Overcomers.
The Teens fellowship is for young people who are currently in high school and meets every Sunday morning at 8:00 AM in the Youth Lounge.
After completing high school, members transition from the Teens fellowship into the Overcomers group following their dedication by Rev. Shadrack Muiruri Kamau.
The Overcomers group meets for an online fellowship every Tuesday at 9:00 PM, and everyone is welcome to join.
Grounded in the Foundations of the Christian Faith
The New Believers Program helps people who have come to faith in Christ grow through teaching and training in the foundations of the Christian faith.
After successfully completing the New Believers Course, participants receive a New Believers Certificate during a graduation led by Rev. Shadrack Muiruri Kamau.
